Hand gesture password recognition

Built a password system based on dynamic hand gestures that runs on an ordinary built-in laptop webcam instead of a Kinect camera, so it could be added as a security layer on everyday laptops and phones. A feed-forward back-propagation neural network, implemented in Octave, classifies nine gesture classes, reaching 96.16% average accuracy on the test set.
